Experience that matters

Built by veterans of the original Informatica Cloud team.

Supaflow was founded by Informatica veterans who were part of the original team that built Informatica Cloud. We bring firsthand integration experience and strong relationships with systems integrator partners to the migration.

Our experience comes from building enterprise integration systems from the inside. We bring that understanding to complex mappings, custom code, and tightly coupled workflows, working alongside your technical owners and SI partners from architecture through handover.

Your migration assessment

A concrete plan for the move.

We review your estate with the people who know it: technical owners, business stakeholders, and your SI partner. The assessment turns workload definitions, operating requirements, and contract dates into four practical outputs.

01

An estate you can act on

A workload inventory classified by complexity, with shared logic, custom functions, data sources and targets, execution dependencies, and downstream consumers. Identify unused assets and the workloads that need individual engineering.

02

A replacement blueprint

A design for Supaflow pipelines and suitable dbt models, including incremental processing, shared transformations, schedules, and retained systems. Migration waves account for dependencies, business priority, and validation readiness.

03

A defined delivery commitment

A fixed-price proposal with milestones, a representative first wave, acceptance checks and tolerances, customer responsibilities, and post-cutover support. Custom-code decisions and exclusions are recorded before delivery begins.

04

A subscription payback estimate

A business case connecting renewal and retirement dates to charges you can eliminate. Replacement subscriptions, parallel operation, ongoing expenses, and the full transition investment stay in the calculation.

The details we take care of

Preserve the behavior behind your Informatica workloads.

01

Business rules hidden in mappings

Lookups, expressions, update strategies, and reusable mapping logic can carry years of business decisions. We document the required behavior before rebuilding ingestion pipelines and appropriate dbt models.

02

Incremental processing with history

A first load passing validation does not prove that updates, late-arriving records, or historical dimensions behave correctly. We agree on test cases for the processing patterns in your migration scope.

03

Dependencies beyond the repository

Parameter files, custom scripts, external schedulers, and downstream reports can determine whether a workflow is ready for retirement. Assessment identifies these dependencies and their owners.

04

Renewal and cutover constraints

A technical cutover and a subscription cancellation may happen on different dates. We plan migration waves against your reporting requirements, contract terms, and actual retirement window.

Outcome-based delivery

A fixed price.
Deliverables at every milestone.

Your migration progresses through visible delivery milestones. You receive the architecture, implementation, validation evidence, and operating documentation needed to review each wave. The statement of work sets the fixed price, timeline, and acceptance criteria; scope changes are agreed separately.

  1. 01

    You receive

    • Reconciliation results and regression tests
    • Mismatch resolution and accepted exceptions
    • Acceptance record for each delivery wave
  4. 04

    Cut over and hand over

Check refresh windows and recovery readiness before switching accepted workloads. Train operators, support the agreed transition period, and confirm retirement prerequisites with system owners.

    You receive

    • Cutover, rollback, and recovery runbook
    • Operating documentation and training
    • Retirement checklist and support plan

Engineering and AI assistance

From exported logic to maintainable models.

We review PowerCenter XML or cloud integration exports alongside parameters, scripts, and workflow definitions. Semi-automated conversion and AI assistance support the work where appropriate; our engineers resolve conversion gaps and review each implementation. A representative first delivery wave establishes the design and validation approach before we expand across the estate.

Supaflow pipelines handle supported data movement. dbt Core models implement suitable transformation logic. We define execution dependencies and any retained systems in the target design.

Translate transformations into a target design

Filters, joins, aggregations, and SQL expressions become candidates for dbt models. Lookups, update strategies, SQL overrides, and stateful logic get explicit design decisions, including how incremental loads and dimension history will work.

Refactor shared logic into maintainable models

Identify reusable mapplets and repeated expressions, separate staging from business transformations, and define model dependencies. Document how each source mapping relates to the delivered pipelines and models so your team can trace the business rules.

Test the details that change the numbers

Check null handling, date and time conversions, numeric precision, join cardinality, and duplicate handling. Compare agreed outputs and business metrics, with mismatches tracked through resolution and acceptance.

Our team owns delivery from source logic to accepted workloads. You receive implementation batches, mapping documentation, and validation evidence throughout the project.

Make the replacement worth operating.

Retire recurring subscriptions

Identify the Informatica charges that actually disappear when the agreed workloads move. Compare them with the complete replacement cost before committing to the project.

Keep useful logic, retire unused jobs

Separate active workflows from redundant or unused assets. Preserve required business rules while reducing the number of jobs your team must operate.

Bring pipelines and dbt together

Rebuild supported data movement in Supaflow and suitable transformation logic in dbt Core. Define scheduling, dependencies, and operational ownership as part of the target design.

Migration payback calculator

Size your migration. See the path to payback.

Estimate delivery, investment, and subscription savings from your workload. USD · planning estimates.

1. Count your mappings

Group active workloads by complexity. For Talend, count jobs.

2. Compare subscriptions

Include legacy charges you can cancel and the full replacement subscription cost.

Add a proposal or other costs

A fixed-price proposal replaces the estimated migration budget. Include new infrastructure, hires, contractors, and retained tools in additional operating expenses. Other transition costs cover expenses outside the migration proposal, such as external tool fees and exit charges.

How the estimate works

Simple mappings: Pass-throughs, filters, basic lookups. Medium mappings: Aggregators, joiners, routers, basic SCDs. Complex mappings: Nested maplets, custom logic, procedural overrides.

Mapping counts and complexity determine the delivery and budget range. The planning model assumes semi-automated conversion for eligible simple and medium workloads, engineering of complex workloads, refactoring and redesign, testing, validation, and cutover preparation. Actual scope, dependencies, replacement subscription pricing, and contractual retirement dates are confirmed during assessment. The estimate is not a binding quote or a guaranteed delivery date; the service is sold at a fixed project price.

Investment = migration budget + other transition costs + replacement costs before retirement. We assume full replacement operating costs from kickoff through retirement; legacy subscriptions remain the baseline and are not added again. Net monthly savings = retired subscriptions − replacement subscriptions − additional operating expenses. Payback after retirement = investment ÷ net savings. Kickoff payback adds time to retirement. Three-year ROI = (36 months of net savings − investment) ÷ investment. Costs remain constant; discounting and taxes are excluded.

Migration questions

Informatica migration FAQ

What do Informatica migration services include?

The agreed scope covers workload assessment, target design, pipeline rebuilding, output validation, phased cutover, documentation, and handover. The statement of work identifies included workloads, responsibilities, acceptance criteria, and post-cutover support.

Can you migrate PowerCenter and Informatica cloud integrations?

We assess PowerCenter mappings and workflows as well as cloud data integration tasks. Source and destination coverage, custom code, dependencies, and required processing behavior determine what we can commit to migrate. The assessment makes exclusions explicit before you accept a project price.

How do you convert Informatica mappings?

Our engineers use mapping exports and workflow definitions to reconstruct business logic, identify dependencies, and build the replacement. AI assistance supports analysis and conversion where appropriate; engineering review and output validation establish correctness. Conversion is delivered through our managed migration service rather than a self-service importer.

Can Informatica transformations become dbt models?

SQL-oriented transformation logic can be a candidate for dbt Core models. Stateful processing, custom scripts, and specialized transformations need individual design decisions. We identify the target implementation during assessment rather than assume every mapping translates directly into dbt.

How much does an Informatica migration cost?

After assessment, we quote a fixed project price for the agreed scope and acceptance criteria. Mapping complexity, custom code, validation requirements, and cutover responsibilities determine the price. Changes outside that scope are agreed and priced separately; the service is not sold by consulting hours.

Can subscription savings pay for the migration?

They can when the subscription charges you retire exceed the full replacement operating cost by enough to recover the transition investment. We include migration fees, internal implementation effort, parallel operation, and any new ongoing costs. Savings start when the legacy charges actually stop; staff redeployment is not counted as cash savings.

Does this replace Informatica MDM, data quality, or application integration?

These services focus on the data integration workloads agreed in your statement of work. We do not assume that Supaflow replaces the whole Informatica portfolio. MDM, specialized data quality, application integration, and other dependencies must be assessed separately and may be retained or assigned a separate solution.

How do you protect reports during cutover?

We agree on output comparisons, critical business metrics, refresh requirements, and recovery tests. Where the environment permits, legacy and replacement workloads run in parallel before migration waves are accepted. Your cutover plan defines the switching window, rollback criteria, and named approvers around your reporting requirements.
